SK Telecom Kicks Off TIP Ecosystem Accelerator Center (TEAC) Seoul Wave 2

SAN DIEGO, CA – October 9, 2018 – AirHop Communications is one of the three companies selected to join wave 2 of the TIP Ecosystem Accelerator Center (TEAC) Seoul. SK Telecom and the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) hosted a launch event on September 20th to kick-off Wave 2.  The key focus of AirHop’s development in the TEAC program is the extension of its commercially deployed LTE real-time Self Organizing Network (SON) platform to support network intelligence for 5G New Radio (NR) use cases.

“AirHop’s participation in TEAC Seoul is a great opportunity to accelerate commercialization of 5G real-time SON,” noted Paul Ryu, SK Telecom Open Collaboration Center Executive Vice President. “They bring a great combination of innovation in 5G network intelligence and leadership in field hardened LTE real-time optimization with their eSON platform.”

The TEACs are a global, sustainable ecosystem that bring entrepreneurs and innovative investors together to establish the necessary foundation to foster collaboration, accelerate trials, and bring innovative, deployable infrastructure solutions to the telecom industry. There are TEACs in the UK, Paris, Seoul and Germany hosted in partnership with TIP and some of the world’s largest telecom service providers.

“SK Telecom has always been a pioneer and leader in deploying wireless technology innovations,” said Yan Hui, AirHop Communications CEO.  “Their strong support for TIP programs and specifically TEAC Seoul, is testament to this leadership.  We are excited to work with TIP and SK Telecom to align our vision for 5G.”

AirHop will be exhibiting as part of the TEAC program at the TIP Summit in London on October 16-17.
