Airhop Communications is a world recognized leader in wireless network automation and optimization technology, platforms, and solutions.  Airhop is seeking a Machine Learning (ML) Systems Engineer who will develop algorithms using advanced ML techniques to optimize network solutions.

This is a full-time position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets, e.g., Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of a wireless cellular network over a specified time period across a large number of base stations.
  • Develop ML algorithms to optimize different aspects of wireless cellular network performance.
  • Develop simulations, test scenarios, and experiments to validate ML solutions in collaboration with the system engineering team.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to implement and deploy ML algorithms in live networks.
  • Validate and monitor ML solution performance in field tests and live network
  • Stay current with relevant developments in the ML field.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s in engineering, computer science, or equivalent. PhD preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing ML solutions, preferably in reinforcement learning and/or time series analysis.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning tools and algorithms
  • Experience in 4G and 5G cellular Radio Access Networks (RAN) is a plus.

AirHop Communications is a world recognized leader in providing Self Organizing Network (SON) technology for 4G/5G networks.  AirHop is seeking a Systems Engineer that can drive system algorithm development for AirHop’s SON, O-RAN RIC and ML/AI solution.

This is a full-time position.

Job Responsibilities:

A Systems engineer at AirHop has the following responsibilities:

  • Define and develop new SON features and algorithms particularly in 5G, AI/ML and LTE systems
  • Work closely with the system engineering team on eSON algorithm design and simulation
  • Validate algorithm design via simulation
  • Work closely with software engineers on product architecture definition
  • Work closely with test and integration team on test plans

Qualifications

The position requires:

  • At least a Master degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent, a Ph.D is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in wireless communication system and/or algorithm development
  • Proficient in system simulation programming in Matlab, C/C++, and Python
  • Understanding of RF transmission and how antenna patterns effect UE measurements
  • Deep understanding of 3GPP LTE technology and understand 5G technology
  • Understanding of ML/AI is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability work as a member of a product development team

Job Description:

AirHop Communications is a world recognized leader in providing Self Organizing Network (SON) technology for 4G LTE networks.  Airhop is seeking a Lead LTE Systems Test Engineer that can organize and participate in the effort to integrate, test, triage, and debug the eSON product into a carrier network.

 

This is a full-time position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of on-site integration of the eSON product into a carrier network. This includes working closely with the eNB OEM and the carrier to ensure that the eSON system is operating correctly in the network deployments.
  • Work closely with the Airhop engineering and management team to coordinate the efforts of the on-site integration and test team.
  • Continuously look for better ways to improve/streamline the integration and test process.
  • Organize the effort to define and implement unit, functional, performance, and regression tests in the lab on real eNBs and in simulation.
  • Define, coordinate, and implement field test plans to validate eSON system functionality and performance on the carrier network.
  • When problems in the field or in the lab are encountered, design tests “on the fly” to characterize the issue.
  • Reproduce field test bugs and issues in a lab environment to facilitate triage and debug.
  • Identify, design, write, and verify new regression tests to be added to the regression test suite.
  • Create and manage an onsite lab for triage of bugs found in the field and for regression testing

 

Airhop is based in San Diego and our target markets are in the emerging markets of the world.

 

Qualifications:

The position requires:

  • B.S. in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Linux and server technology.
  • Exceptional debug and analytical skills.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with LTE/UMTS system validation and testing.
  • In-depth system knowledge of LTE/UMTS networks.
  • Self-driven individual who can plan/coordinate with teams globally and execute projects independently.
  • Solid understanding of 802.11 standards preferred. 11ad experience will be highly desirable
  • Experience with C++, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting Language like Python, Unix Shell, is a plus.
  • Familiar with RF sniffing tools like wireshark, JDSU, is a plus.

  • Perform statistical analysis on ML output to fine-tune algorithm performance and efficiency

Qualifications:
